NOTIONAL INCREMENT

Notional Increment:
The decision in the case of Shri.Ayyamperumal may be applicable to an official who had rendered 12 months of service and became eligible to get an increment but was denied the increment because he retired immediately before the day on which the increment was due to be paid.

1. Employee retired on last working day of the month.
2. Increment was due on the following day. But it was not allowed because he was not in service on that day.
3. Rendered 12 months of eligible service to earn increment.
