Medical Allowance
The 7th Central Pay Commission has increased the
fixed Medical allowance drawn by the Central civil pensioners residing in non-CGHS
areas from the earlier Rs.500/- per month to Rs.1000/- per month wef 01.07.2017. In the case of pensioners already drawing the
medical allowance of Rs.500/-, the enhanced amount of Rs.1000/- will be automatically
drawn and credited to their bank account with arrears if any. In the
case of persons who have not at all drawn this fixed medical allowance for various
reasons since their date of retirement may apply for the allowance now. They are requested to contact the

with the following
documents.
1. Application in plain paper stating
Fixed Medical Allowance is not drawn and CGHS facility is also not availed.
2. Original Pension Book OR Pension Pay
Order and a copy of the same.
3. Original 6th and 7th
CPC Pension revision orders and a copy
of the said orders.
4. Original Aadhaar card and a photocopy
.
5. One passport size photo.
On submission of the above, a certificate of non-issue of CGHS card will be given to the
pensioner by the CGHS office, Besant Nagar.
The above certificate should be submitted to the ZAO. The medical allowance will be drawn from the
date of retirement and arrears also will be given. The pensioners may avail the opportunity.
